Anyone done this before. Have 86 xjsc cabriolet with coupe window frame and it looks like a bear to get new passenger side window in without taking out the top frame which is welded in!!

It is a bear. The door car has to come off, and then the bottom part of the window slider in the door, non-hinge end, has to be undone, all sorts of other motorised bits concerning the drive to the metal track under the window itself wriggled free, and from memory I think the motor has to be unbolted too. Then somehow or other, the window glass can be wriggled forwards and out of the door towards the outside.
Not much help I know, but others will help too!
