Replacing the radio in a 95 XJS
We are planning to replace the factory tape deck with a detachable face CD changer in a 95 XJS 6 cyl.
Are there any guidelines to observe when doing this? We are trying to get a basic head unit in there with a single CD input plus and AUX in (1/8") jack as well so iPods and other similar devices can be used.
Does anyone have a good link to this information? Thanks.

Hello,
Changing the stereo is the easiest thing on these cars. My grandmother could probably do it blindfolded. Plenty of information if you use the search engine. Here is my radio install story

I started with an Alpine CDE HD138BT and ended up with a CDE HD 149 BT because the first one was way too dico-ball

Blue tooth
Sign of the times....many radios now offer Bluetooth for your cell phone. It's a good safety measure and many regions of the USA now require a hand free device while driving. I recently purchased a Pioneer radio with Bluetooth for under $200 that included a microphone that I ran up to the top of the pillar. It works very well.
