Default rpm gauge
My 95 4.0's tack wants to hang at the 1000 mark. Or nothing at all . Car runs with a slight hesitation. Any ideas??

Well in your car the Tach gets it's reading from the ECM so perhaps start by checking the connections at either end are good and clean?

Havn't got a chance to pull a panel and check ecm RPM works only to 1400. Thinking gauge??
