I use a product called "Rust Check". It comes in a tall aerosol can. The product itself is sorta like a thick red oil. I spray it in all the nooks and crannies that I can find, as well as the inside of the doors, inside the fenders behind the front wheels, etc. Sometimes this means taking off some plastic access panels or what not. You gotta use your imagination a bit to gain access to some of the areas
One important area is the mounts for the rear radius arms. Remove the bolts and really slather the stuff in there. You'll need to redo the safety wire when you put it back together.
This stuff isn't a true permanent rustproofing but it's cheap and easy....and much better than nothing

Also try to get the stuff inside the box sections. In the UK we have stuff called Waxoil which comes with a pump/reservoir, long tube and trigger gun, plus a long 3/16" extension that you can use to insert then spray all along a box section. DOug's point about the rear radius arms is very valid, and note this is secured to the underside of a notorious rust trap box section, so get stuff into that box section. Sometimes you need to drill holes, but often taking out a bolt or screw such as secures the door latch striker gives access. Front cross member below the radiator is another, and, of course the side boxes from front to rear.
Jaguar rust proofing was very poor right up until Ford taught them how to make cars properly again.
