Wow, you sold the white 4.0 to fund this? What are your plans for the build?

I've only done 1000 miles in the last year in the white one and as we all know, the XJS doesn't like to be ignored! I don't really have the time to look after 2 of them and the old boat and the cottage (and the Subaru) and go to work so something had to go.
My first XJS was a Cabriolet and I always fancied another one and this one was just in budget. It doesn't really need a rebuild, more a bit of fettling and tidying. The lights are out at the moment because I still can't the dipped beams to work although I am narrowing the problem down.
I've already got all the bits to replace the cooling system to sort out the slight overheating problem and I've got boxes of other stuff to fit too.
Now that the white one has gone (boo hoo) I've got garage space to work on it which is a bonus given the vile weather over here.
Anyway, I shall keep you posted with progress reports.

Oh nice... didn't notice it was a Cabriolet - guess I assumed that was oxidation on the roof! Good Luck!
