Default Screws under dash panel

Can anyone find a part number or show me a picture of the screws that secure the panels under the dash?

LONG ago when my dad cut my ignition key he removed the panel and simply put it back in place to test drive. It sticks pretty well and has been ignored for far too long.

trouble is I can't find anything specifying what those screws look like. I also can't locate the screws that go in the panels that enclose the steering column

On my '92 the drivers side is is held on by a clip in the middle and has a plastic screw on the door B post near the top hinge. Passenger side has 3 or 4 screws holding it up.

I recall the the underdash panels were held up with black trim screws....the type with the oval head using the little cup-like washers underneath. They screw into 'U' clips or 'J' clips.

The upper and lower column shrouds use machine screws.

I can't remember the sizes on either. I have large assortments of each and just grab something that works :-)

One time a pal of mine when looking at some Jags in wrecking yards and brought me back a jar full of black trim screws. Really comes in handy!

Cheers
DD

I found the same type of trim screws in packages at a few auto stores. Black with the cups in assorted lengths. I picked up several packages and replaced existing worn/rusted trim screws. I also used them for under the dash. They seem to work fine with the existing clips.

I guess I'm just going to have to use my best judgement on this one

You can see the holes I'm talking about in this diagram and there is nothing in the diagram about the screws....it doesn't even depict them existing lol
