Secondary fuel tank filter
Just replaced my fuel pump and the new one is noisy (cavitating?). My tank is NASTY and I know this because I bought it in 2010 and it was parked in late 1996. I cleaned it when I got it, but enough crap has loosened again I guess.
I removed the catch tank earlier today and poured the flakes of garbage out of it, but can't help but want to replace the filter. I can't find it anywhere and it seems really fine, so Im afraid any dirt leftover is not allowing enough flow to the fuel pump.
Also it just slides on?? When I took the downpipe out of the tank the filter just fell of it into the tank......Im probably going to put a hose clamp on it, but wtf is up with that?

of course SNG barratt has it....anyways...anyone have experience with this problem or any advice on the sump tank filter?? Is there any better solution?
I guess I need to buy a POR 15 kit or something, I just very rarely have that kind of downtime with only one car and working+school
