Just bought a 1995 XJS. It did not come with the alarm/door lock transmitter. Can anyone tell me the steps involved with getting a new one. My local dealer says he can get me the transmitter but programming it will be very difficult. He also says that if it isn't programmed properly, then I could end up with flashing lights that will never turn off.

If anyone here has done this, please tell me what's involved and is it worth it.
