Thanks, everyone, for the previous input. I ended up going with B6 Bilsteins.

I can't find GAZ in the USA and was anxious to make a change.

But, I'm not disappointed. These seem like great shocks. Either the KYBs (which the car came with) were more worn out than I thought or they are not up to the weight of the V12. Or both.

Anyhow, the mushiness is gone, the car responds much better to steering input, and just feels more stable in general. And I can't discern any sacrifice in ride quality; I don't regard them as harsh at all.

Cheers

you can get gaz shocks threw terrys
https://www.terrysjag.com/product/CAC9089GA.html

im running them up front with ebtech springs there great, haven't done the rear yet but soon. they will adjust from super soft almost non existent to a solid rod and everywhere in between, ill be doing the rears soon. i wish that the compression and rebound were independently adjustable but the pre-set ratio's are pretty good. would just be nice to be able to fine tune the compression and rebound independently.

I missed Terry's. Oh well. Too late now.

Some other vendors list them for sale but do not actually have inventory and don't expect any for a couple months.

Doug,

Wish I'd seen this thread earlier as I just replaced all the shocks. I had Boge in the back and KYB's in the front - and it was total mush, but that's probably because they hadn't been replaced in forever. I went with the Bilsteins all around and it's tight for me. Heck, even the wife said it was a huge improvement.

Enjoy the ride!
