speakers in convertible (audiophiles)
this is a post for audiophiles: the speakers in the wooden compartment that some of the convertibles have behind the seats are pointed into the compartment. There are speaker grills both in the box and on the outside. Is there a specific reason for this? I plan to replace the stock speakers (one broken) and wonder whether I should have them point to the outside instead of the inside.
Does anyone know why they were placed like this by jaguar?
Thanks, Mark

You definitely want them pointing out. If they are pointing in, does that mean the magnets are sticking out into the passenger compartment ? Perhaps someone was trying to make some kind of sub-woofer out of the compartment..... thats the only reason I could think of to have the speakers pointing in.....

Someone botched something on that car.
The speaker points out into the seats.
That is ridiculous. There must be some story associated with the way the speakers were left like that...
I changed my speakers and I can certainly tell you, DO NOT be concerned with the depth limit of any speaker. Both the doors and the back seat have more space than any speaker can handle.
