Default The $0 Steering Rack Bushing Upgrade

Just thought I would share what I did with my steering rack. The original bushings were fine. No cracks. So rather than being wasteful and throwing them out, I found an old tire on the side of the road and using a hole saw I cut bushings out of it. I put them in the outer sides of the rack. Which is all you really need to do to get even pressure. Think about it. I also read of stories that the poly bushings melt. These tire bushings are very strong since they are steel belted. IMO they are better than the poly bushings. Also, if I ever want top go back to the old steering for some reason, I can just cut them out.

They work great. Tightened up the steering and will prevent the current bushings from breaking since it greatly lessens the side to side movement of them. Inlcuding the top one. I'm very happy with the results. All for free.
