Rex
Just swapping the motors, I do not know; but i suspect it would be difficult.
Swapping in the entire Electrolux system, grille, mechanism, motor and all is fine. It will go straight in and work. The only thing you will lose is the intermittent wipe, which will not work without a different relay and a wiring mod around the switch wiring.
The hand-flickwipe will work, just not the automatic one. The two speeds will work.

Thanks for that Greg. Have you done it yourself?

I've done it. Not hard, at least from the 2nd design Lucas wiper system. The intermittant relay is different and hard to find. If you do, you also need to clip one wire on the turn signal switch. Otherwise, it is a drop in mod.

Yes, I did. Not the relay and switch wiring mod, just dropped it in. The main advantage is that the Electrolux has a four-lever mechanism, not a wheelbox one, and it is this, I believe, that makes it better.
