Hi

Can someone please provide me with the OHMS measurement of the Temperature Gauge Sensor Unit for a V12 XJS H.E. model ?

Assuming your car temp runs reasonably normal and you have no issues performing the task :-)

Specifically when:
1) COLD position on gauge
2) NORMAL position on gauge

It would really help me to troubleshoot wether my sensor or gauge is correct.

It would require lifting the bonnet, removing the temp sensor wire and measuring the resistance between terminal and engine with an Ohm Meter...15mins work.

THIS WOULD BE REALLY HELPFUL AND MOST APPRECIATED!!!!

P.S. This is the Gauge Sensor (one pin). Not the ECU Sensor (two pin).

There is at 3 different Temperature gauge senders. Part numbers DAC2583 and EAC2630 and EAC1386 according to the parts catalog depending on the year model. My 1989 has DAC2583.

I have looked through the ROM and it does not (as far as I have found) list resistance for the temperature gauge sender.
