The strength of the materials isn't very good for 3D printing. I certainly wouldn't use it in a safety critical part like that.

Current 3D printing technology has gone way beyond plastic bits. "Print" media now include steel and aluminum:

Default Clutch pedal for XJS

I found the RHD clutch pedal is still available from Jaguar. I was able to bend it (warm to cherry red) to work with a LHD setup. The brake pedal and pad is not available so you will need to modify the automatic one in a similar way.

LHD cluoch pedal part number is CAC 5812, return spring is C39515. Jaguar no linger have the spring, they do come up on ebay from time to time. You don't really need it, I did my conversion a number of years ago and never had a problem without it

CAC 5812 does not come up anywhere. Any ideas where to buy it?
Thanks

So I sent an email to the archivist at JLR asking for 5 speed production numbers by body style for the US and Canada. After speaking to a specialist for this area, the archivist responded with the following:-

"I did the figures for US and Canada for XJS facelift manual cars.

1992 Coupe - 33 Canada only
1993 Coupe - 37 US and 4 Can
1993 Convertible - 62 US and 4 Can
1993 2+2 - 2 US and 4 Can
1994 Coupe - 19 US only
1994 2+2 - 56 US and 2 Can

There was none in 1995 or 1996. There was approximately 70 Manual AJ16 engine XJSs and none were sold to the USA. It doesn't mean none have been imported though."

Remember these are calendar year production figures, so some cars produced in 92 may be 93MY and some in 1993 may be 94MY.

So a total of 176 cars for the US and 47 for Canada. A manual AJ16 looks to be a very rare bird and if someone did bring one over here, it's probably the only one!

That ends this public service announcement

Cheers,

Allan
Hi all,
I don’t believe the above information is correct as I currently own a 1993 5 speed, 4.0 6 cylinder and it was an official import by Jaguar. I have the original paperwork from the selling dealer in 1993.

I have had two 5 speed 4.0 litre XJS Facelift coupes. The first was a 1992 in British Racing Green with the Cotswold Tweed interior. It was an amazing car to drive. I sold it 15 years ago to purchase a 1995 Rose / Bronze convertible XJS. I always regretted selling it have been searching for another for years.
I remembered seeing a gorgeous red XJS at the 1992 International Auto Show in Vancouver. It had a 5 speed transmission, full leather interior and a beautiful wooden steering wheel.
I recently found and purchased the car from an 86 year old woman who had purchased the car on the Auto Show floor in March 1992. The car is in spectacular original condition with only 37,000 kms. It has been in a shop since I purchased it having the rubber components of the suspension changed along with new tires and other maintenance upgrades. I have yet to drive it, and I am really looking forward to it.

Black interior (well, "warm charcoal" LEG)? It would be the twin of mine, but for the steering wheel. VIN 180034.

Congratulations on your find. Photos please !!
