Default Two Questions

Anyone have any idea where to find European plates for an 84 XJS. Also, does anyone know how much it would cost to do a headlight conversion from the US style to the European style?

Thanks!

A lot of guys like the North American quad lights, so you should get some replies soon from the back of the garage.

What are the differences between the American styling and the European styling?

Main difference was the headlights (quads in US, ovals in Europe) although after the 91/92 facelift all markets got the ovals.

I've seen people doing the conversions both ways so hopefully you'll get some more help on this post.

US models also have extra running lights in the front and rear fenders/bumpers and strangely have the side indicators omitted and replaced with leaper badges, something I've never quite understood.

That's odd because my car has the quad setup but does not have the leaper badges OR side indicators. Is there any way to find the history of a car?

Hmmm, now that I've looked at more pictures it seems the prefacelift cars had neither leapers or indicators, so if you're an 84 you are in good shape.

But for sure the facelifted US cars have leapers and the UK/Europe cars have indicators

Hmm, I have the feeling my thread may have been hijacked....lol!! Back to the original two questions:

1. Does anyone have any information on converting the US quad headlight set-up to the Europe Oval set-up?

2. Does anyone know where to find European License plates?
