Universal Drive Shaft joints - NO COVER!!!! (WTF)
I did the grease everything job this weekend, and guess what, one universal joint has NO cover.
Can one be put on as is?
The other 3 had cover bit NO bungs.... really.
So what are my best options to sort this?

 

NORMAL.

Someone work up to the stupidity of them and removed one.

All mine had all 4 removed early in the ownership.

 

Absolutely, Grant. Mine came off the first time I looked under the car, over two decades ago. Duke, they do nothing and protect nothing; just make it impossible to grease the UJs.

 

AND RATTLE.

Less weight, more speed, whoopee.

 

I took mine off as well. I think I saved them though if you really wanted to replace yours...lol but they are completely pointless

 

Off they come....!
It will be sooo much easier to grease with the gone.
In to the bin!
