Unknown hose with clear fuel filter at the end
I'm new to Jaguar having recently purchased a 1990 XJS V12 convertible with about 60,000 miles. While looking under the hood on the driver side I noticed a 1/4 " hose attached to the body brace and going forward about 12". It has a clear fuel filter at the end of the hose. There is no smell to it and I can't find where it should be connected. It starts somewhere behind the engine but I'm having a problem to see what it is connected to.
I need some help as I'm nervous to start the car not knowing what it is for.
Thanks
