V12 plug leads

I used these, they are excellent but a tad tight to push on (probably better then floppy loose) and definitely noticed smoother operation vs my old ones which were probably several years old.

I duuno what's available in the UK.
I've been running Bosch brand on my V12 for a few years now. All's well.
Years ago, on my XJS V12, I ran OEM Rists wires for a few years. No complaints. Later I used some performance oriented wires (can't remember the brand) and noticed no improvement in running for the extra money spent.
Magnacore brand is popular with many V12 owners. High grade stuff, but rather expensive!

Larkspeed whether they're expensive depends on how you value things I guess.
As the decades roll by I increasingly find myself valuing actual results quite a bit. I've found that, often as not, the extra money spent doesn't provide me any real world improvement or tangible benefit. In the case of plug wires, for example, the Bosch wires I installed several years ago are doing the job perfectly well and were $50. I'm not quite convinced that spending $150 for Magnacore would be money well spent.
Besides that, my V12 is my daily driver/commuter car. I have to save money whenever I can
Not knocking Magnacore, mind you. They have a great reputation.

I think that the elements that made me use Magnecore (in particular the KV85's) was simply the newer technology, improved thermal tolerances, improved performance under load (designed for race etc) - and a 10 year warranty.
Standard leads are fine, not saying they aren't, I guess it is all about how they will be used (i.e. how much and what kind of driving), indeed if you look at the materials used for even the injector harness they simply aren't suitable for the ambients in the environment presented within the V of the V12, PVC insulation doesn't like continuous temperatures beyond 70°C - and I can assure you that the valley temperatures exceed that significantly when cruising, it is even worse when stuck in traffic. If you use standard leads just plan to replace them periodically then they will be fine (presumably).

You could try Mr Retro Leads:

I bought some of his 8 or 8.5mm mm ones, precisely the same as magnacore and half the price. Very good indeed. Formula power also very good. Both UK firms.

The OEM wires were 7mm. Several years ago I ran a test in the garage with all the lights off and was shocked to see the amount of arc'ing around the distro and wires. Converted to 8mm (can't remember the brand, blue with red plug tips) and the arc'ign was immediately gone.

My mate had same leads on his 360 Mopar, leads often hanging on exhausts manifolds but no harm done.
Personally i wouldn't put yellow leads on stock V12 engine bay... think they will scream attention just too much.
