Default Vacuum pipe clips - for Lucas cap

Hello - any ideas on where to find/what to substitute for the clips that keep the vacuum hoses on the Lucas distributor cap? Seems the PO didn't find them necessary. Having knocked one loose and watched as the^*&^*^ plastic piece fell in the cap, I think they are a pretty good idea. Part number is CAC8770, but I can't find a supplier.

Many thanks.

Ha, welcome to V12 payback.

Those little plastic spigots in the cap should be GLUED in place so what is happening does not happen, but I have noticed lately that they are quite loose in the caps that I get from time to time regardless of brand, maybe the "chinese factory" is out of Super Glue????.

I dont use those clips as my car had them missing waaaay back in 1996, but a quiet stroll around a local wrecking yard and some suitable clips were found on an old Toyota, and then somemore for the other V12 on a Mercedes????. Not so hard to find if you think "outside the square" as we say down here.

Failing that a "drop" of Super Glue would stop the hoses from falling off, and the same glue will secure those plastic spigots in the cap as well.
