Default Warning lamp (L)

XJS 1989 3.6 When i go round a corner the amber (L caravan /towing lamp) on the top line of the instrument panel flashes, no tow bar fitted to the car.

My 94 didn't ever have a hitch installed but the factory had the trailer loom installed.
I think the loom and connector were hidden behind the rear inner panel.
Lots of ways for that to get shorted out, so open it up and see if it's there.

Does it turn on when you use the wheel, or simply flash once when you turn on the indicator?

It only flashes when i go round a corner fast as if its telling me i have low liquid level, but in the handbook that particular lamp is to do with the Caravan /trailer hitch, the light is amber in colour
