My '87 has the long handle that apparently one must turn one way or the other to drain the radiator. Mine is stuck, and I don't want to force it the wrong way. Which way should it turn to drian?

Soak it with a penetrating oil and let set, then soak again, then start trying to move it back and forth, until it opens and starts draining. Since it points straight out, either way will open it, but try soaking and try to move. If it doesn't free pull lower hose to drain.
