Default What battery to get (96 XJS)?

Hi All,

I think it's time for a new battery in my '96 XJS. Any suggestions where to get one that fits and has a vent tube? I live in the US by the way, which seems to limit things some.

Thank you,

-mB

Vent tube? Nahhh, you don't need that,

Seriously, size 48, highest cca rating you want to afford.

Hello Mike

This was a recent thread about batteries and the hole "venting" question.

Cheers

I guess what I meant to ask was where can I buy a suitable battery? I had read through that other thread and the only person that actually said they got a new battery with a vent tube got it in the UK and I don't seem to be able to buy that brand here in the states. (Yuasa ybx 5000).

Thanks,

-mB

Interstate has a vented group 47. Most autoparts stores should carry a group 47 ( not 48, 47 is vented)

Well, that took me a while, but I finally have a Interstate MT-47 H5 in my XJS. Fits perfectly and has the vent tube. In fact I was able to use the white plastic vent elbow from the original Jaguar battery. I'm content. Thanks very much for the info.
