I would like to know the name of the manufacturer of the dashboard instruments of the XJ-S and the XJS.

I remember an article (long time ago) describing the XJS as being "fitted with a proper set of Smiths gauges". Proper indeed.

Unless it’s a facelift, because those definitely say AC Delco on the back.

to be honest here ,thanks GM helping Jaguar with so many parts at reasonable costs.

it did help for staying afloat for awhile longer, before sale to FORD!

i had in 1955 a 1952 Triumph 650 motorcycle , it had a clickity click speedometer made by SMITH , and i could bring it to the end max clicks , and needle would lock still,no movement!

what fun when young.

Not exactly on-point but, on the Series III sedans, Jaguar dumped Smiths and climbed in bed with Veglia circa 1983.

Lower cost, perhaps?

I dunno.

The printed circuit on both the Tach and the Speedo in a 1993 coupe were inscribe DELCO ELECTRONICS. This is a picture of the front side of the Speedo.
