Default wheel hub centers bored out?

I want to fit 17x8/9 wheels on my car, and i need to get the hub centers bored out? does anyone know a solution to this? because none of the local machine shops say they have the capability to do it and i am getting quite frustrated.

You need to find an old fashioned machine shop where they are still turning handles instead of pressing buttons.

Like hens teeth nowadays.

I'm actually hunting for something similar but on a slightly bigger scale in SC with no luck so far.

Have you tried looking for a company that repairs/reconditions wheels, a regular machine shop probably will not have a lathe big enough.

I bore out 17" XK wheels all the time so they can fit on XJSs, I dont use a lathe, I use a standard size mill with a boring head, much easier to do and you dont need a gigantic piece of kit

All you have to do it bolt in down to the table through the hub holes, clock up the bore and off you go
