I have recently gotten my 1986 XJS to run again after refurbishing the fuel system and after that moved onto smaller things that needed attention. I took apart my wiper motor today only to find that the magnets are all coated in rust from the years it sat and I’m afraid it is no longer salvageable. Looking here to see if anyone has a motor they would be interested in selling. So far the only thing I’ve found are the $400 ones on eBay and I thought I’d give it a go here too.

Doesn't that system use a flex cable running out to the wiper arm linkage?
I know the 85 radio antennae uses a similar flex cable.
Got one of those if you think it will help.

 

I just know that the armature and casing around the armature are bad, I’ll try cleaning them up but as far as I know that is the problem with the motor.
