Default Wiring under console

I have a 1995 XJS 2 + 2 6 cylinder and found the info on programming a key fob and found the appropriate colored wires. However, I have 3 sets of wires that are not conected, 1 set is a green wire and a black wire connectected to a female plastic connector, another is a white red and black set and the 3rd which I'm pretty sure is the connection for the old style phones. Can anyone tell me what the wires are for and should I be concerned. about any of them.
Thank you,
Art

Art,

As you were talking about the switches for the valet wire, I presumed that you were talking about the area under the armrest rather than the skislope. I'm not sure about the wires that you have found under the skislope, but have published your pics below in the hope that other forum members might be able to identify them.

Paul,
The wires I was looking for were the wires to help me program a key fob. Was told to look for a wellow& white wire and a black wire connected to a female plkug. Did find them but they were under the skislope and am still having a hell of a time with the programming of the the fob.
Thanks for your help.

Art, were you ever able to get it programmed? I've just done mine and can lend you any advice or simple instructions. Once I got in there I too was very curious what the unused connectors were to/for. All I can figure is they were leftovers from the earlier models that has different switches lower on the sides areas on the console, as I don't know of any other optional equipment they could be for. On older models I think the seat heater switches were on the console.

After thinking it over, I believe one of the unused connectors may be for a trunk release/open button? There are two blanks under the console, one for the valet switch, a trunk release button just makes sense. I've order a set of both from an XJ6 so I will test this theory and update this thread.

Thank you for checking up on the problem I have with re programming the fob. I have run into some other time consuming problems with my little cat and have put the re programming off for a while.
