Default XJR-S Sparkplugs

I am sprucing up my XJR-S with clean through of the injectors and a change of sparkplugs.

The current plugs are Champion RS6YCC but I can't find them available in the UK. Can anyone help me find what would be the equivalent plug and are iridium plugs acceptable to use in a 6L V12?

I have put the new Bosch plugs in and re fitted the air con unit and the freshly cleaned fuel rail, reconnected all the harness but .......

....... no spark for some reason. I did have a spark beforehand but none now and I am struggling to find out why.

I can see a low voltage of around 6 volts going into the amplifier but nothing going out to the coil when I crank the engine.
I know I have fuel pressure as a leak occurred, fixed with a jubilee clip.

Double check the connector to the water temp sensor located on the LH thermostat housing. If its not connected the engine wont run. You may have accidentally disconnected it when you were installing the plugs.

Default Could be the wrong plugs

So, I managed to get the car started but with huge amount of blue smoke and misfiring, worse than it was before the injector clean.

Spoke to a few poeple and they say the sparkplugs are probably the wrong ones, even though they were stated on the conversion website.

So I could be back to square 1, trying to find the right plugs and then sourcing them.

I would put the old ones back in but I busted 4 getting them out, soon found out that the ac unit had to be removed.

did you replace the CAP and ROTOR...
Marelli Ignition failure and rough running is more caused by bad rotors and caps than plugs...
the plugs get gunked up as a result....

I am sure you gapped and indexed them before installing the plugs...
and made sure all injectors are plugged into the correct wires...
remember they are grouped 135 and 246 those groups should inject together at the same time...

I am sure you did all that and it is ok to flame me...

No I didn't replace the cap or rotor as she was running better before but just on 11 than she is now.

All the leads are correct and the plugs i checked for gap.

I have contacted Denso direct and NGK and they are struggling to cross check the plugs for the right one, whether it should be projected or not is one question but no one is absolutely sure which is the right or wrong plug and they don't seem to trust the sparkplug cross-reference website.

Interesting, I just rang Bosch direct, and they say they don't do a spark plug for the XJR-S 6l V12, looks like the listing is wrong.
Back to the drawing board.

Man I am sorry this is giving to so much trouble... the only bright side I see is that you are making this easier for some one else that has the XJR-S, My hat is off to you!
