I have a set of 96 xjr rims, that we want to put on the 92 xjs convertible.
My question is, from the ones who have them on they're own XJS's what size tire did you use? and also was a spacer used.
I don't want to fowl the wheel well when turning and under normal suspension travel.

 

I have Penta's from XJR on our 1992 XJS and used the stock tire size for XJR on the rims.

For fronts, you are going to need a 10mm hubcenteric spacer.

These are X300 XJR rims on my 89...



Currently too high up front due to lack of an engine, but they don't rub. No spacer. he hub covers fit without any issue.

Tire size was I think 245/40 R17... IIRC...

 

XJ40 BBS 16x8 rims 33 offset, fronts were modified to reduce offset to 19, tyres are 245 60 16 they still rub on the rear wheel well cover at full lock

Shameless plug, I just scored a set of Brand New 16" Lattice Le Mans Edition rims for the XJS. Let me know if anyone is interested in my Pentas. They have new set of Conti DWS tires with less than 500 miles on them. I will list them on FS section in the near future.
