XJS - Fault Code FF37
Sorry I don't have any more knowledge about this engine or faults.
Hopefully someone else will reply
On V12 with Lucas / Marelli ecu
Faulty air injection operation is FF 67.
FF37 isn't listed in any Jaguar documents I have regarding engine management

Just wondering if anyone has a link to a photo showing the EGR sensor on a 92-96 XJS 4L 6 Cyl. I have just got an FF37 code. Wanted to clean terminals before trying to replace.

Many years ago I uploaded S91_AJ6 4.0 Engine Management.pdf to a few Jaguar related sites. It will explain EVERYTHING you ever wanted to know about the AJ6 4.0 engine management.
The file is over 13mb so I cannot upload it to this post.
Just search S91_AJ6 4.0 Engine Management.pdf and you will find it somewhere on the internet.
Gus will have it on his site.

An FF37 fault code is identified as a EGR Circuit fault (exhaust gas return). This can be caused by a number of things, but primarily it is the EGR Valve or EGR solenoid. The Valve is on the right hand side of the cylinders, the solenoid is on the left rear of cylinders. Likely the cause of the fault is the connectors in the solenoid are grimy, or the solenoid itself is faulty.
I cleaned the connectors, disconnected the battery, reconnected to reset the fault. All seems to be running well again.
