XJS Front Fog/Driving Lights

XJS Front Fog/Driving Lights
I am having trouble getting my front fog lights working. I checked the fuse, relay, and bulbs. All are good. The switch lights up as well as the dash indicator. The indicator goes off when the high beams are activated and comes back on with the low beams. I checked and there is no power at the fog lights though. I don't see any loose or frayed wires. Any ideas on something I may have missed? The rear fog lights operate as they should. It is a 1992 XJS V12 convertible.

The wiring diagram shows that the circuit goes through an 18 way connector block housed in the left side 'A' post. Check pin 4 (should be a red/yellow wire) for power when you switch on the fogs. If you have power there but not at the connectors that are behind the fog lamps, then it would seem your problem is in the wiring harness between the two points.

Oh! Oh! Something I think I can help with!
So one of my fog lights wasn't working either. Tested both sides, both of them gave a nice almost 12 V using the positive lead and metal on bumper/body/whatever grounded metal was close, which was good enough to run the light off of. So, I figured that the side that wasn't working had a bad bulb. Got two at NAPA, came happy, installed, was happy as a clam, turned on the light switch, and nothing. No light from the side that hadn't been working. Tested again, still showing about 12 V, so the light SHOULD be on, right? Jiggle, jiggled the light, no luck.
Finally dawned on me to actually test using the ground to where the light-bulb makes contact, and AHA, no volts! It turns out that the contact to ground at the bulb had some invisible rust or something, which was a shock to me because IT'S NOT A LUCAS PART. I know, right?
So try to see if it's not a burnt out light bulb first, and then check those connectors. The simplest things always seem to be the problem in these cats.
