Default xjs fuel filler hose

has anyone replaced the fuel filler neck hose part no. C43958? its no longer available from jaguar but as its only a rubber hose there must be another part that fits it, jaguar know nothing about interchangeability . if its not in the book there not interested, wish I could have had a job like that.

If Vee's lead does not lead to a successful purchase, these people are very good, and they can make you a special fuel resistant one. With any luck they make a size that fits.

Funny you should say that. Just had a massage from jdht that NHC5907AA is not available and they changed it to NHC5907AC leaded. Still the same price. Its a bit difficult right now to post the link as I'm on my mobile and haven't worked that out yet.

Thnaks Rex, got it:

Part no. CAC2395 | Fuel filler pipe parts from Jaguar Classic Parts UK
Not bad, I might get one, as the lip the cap seats on is getting pretty worn on mine. Sod to remove it from the rubber pipe though, I seem to remember I used an oil filter strap wrench when I did my rebuild!

Remove all the grommets tighten a jubilee clip around the neck and use a 3 legged oil filter wrench on it, the sort that tightens as you turn it .getting it back in is a different matter

If all else fails.....

I went to my local NAPA Auto Parts and they had a whole rack of various sizes fuel filler hoses...intended, I think, for more industrial type applications.

That's what I used; worked fine.

Cheers
