This might not be to everyone's taste, but it's good to see people are still putting in the effort with the vulnerable XJS!

By the way, it hasn't broken. This was a sneak peek as the car was being delivered.

And speaking of which, who has the best wheels on their XJS? I'm thinking Mish Mish with the BMWs... Should probably start a thread for people to show off XJS rims.

Is that an extinguisher or nitrous in the boot (trunk)?

wow, the rubber on the tyre is almost paper thin!

Looks cool though. I wonder what it would feel like to drive with those low profile tyres?

The rims: ditch them and chuck on a set of Jaguar 17" sport alloys from teh XJ6R!

One thing that is really disappointing is that this car is a super rare TWR XJRS 6.2L made in 1986 before Jaguarsport was established. A very rare example is now ruined completely.

This car belonged to a former pro baseball player, who bankrupted and had to sell this car. He had many cars like Aston DB6, pre WW2 Alfa, Jaguar Mk V etc...
But what he wanted to get back was only this XJRS. You now know how hard it would be to replace this car for him.

A friend of his formally had bought it, and after he cleaned his debts he wanted to buy it back, but he has no money right now and decided to make money by running an article of this XJRS. After all he found a sponsor car modifier, but it seems he had no right to decide what to do with his car, for he paid zero money.

Finally, we are witnessing this crap... If it were a normal XJS I won't say anything, but this car had to be protected. This was a truly rare example, a history itself.

I don't think the owner is happy or satisfied, for he must know the value of the car. He had no choice.

I hope someone restores this car to original spec someday...

I do like that a lot.
The body mods are great, but like was said, the wheels, or more specifically tires, I don't care for much.


Not every car needs to look like it did in the showroom 30+ years ago!

Check out their website, there is some truly appallingly lurid stuff on there; makes this one look quite tame by comparison.

Like the car, hate the way the tires look on the wheels. Looks like the tire isn't even seated on the bead or something.

This is the correct aim for a nitrous bottle (pointing forward).

No nitrous. The nitrous bottle needs to be mounted longitudinally, so the acceleration force pushes the liquid to the bottom where the pick up point is inside the bottle.

It's probably a fire extinguisher.

I do like that nice subwoofer, though.

So nitrous won't work if you want to go backwards really quickly?

Steve, if you were to hit the gas in my car with the nitrous armed, you could appreciate what you'd be putting the tranny through if you did that in reverse.

Buit, in theory you are right. The fluid would rush to the top of the bottle and the nitrous injection would most likely starve.

I know...you were kidding..

Gypsy, unfortunately this type of rim-tire fitment is seen quite often, especially with those hideous little 13" wheels, or low riders. They purposely do it so it shows that disgusting lip. To me, it simply looks like bad taste and same with these big wheels on this XJS.

Considering the stance of the car I would say that the bottle in the back is the Air Cylinder part of the Air Ride suspension.
