Hi to all you Jag experts. I just bought my first Jag and its a XJS-C (Targa). The transmission slips horribly when hot in reverse. I have found a donnor car Van den Plas. Looks like the exact same engine I wonder if I can simply swap the transmission! Also thinking about the radiator for the one in my baby leaks.
Any advice will be apreciated. I've dabbled in crazy mechanical things before since I have owned 3 Alfa Romeo!

If your XJS is a 5.3 V12 and the Vanden Plas in question is one of the Canadian market Ser III 5.3 V12 sedans then 'yes' to the transmission....and probably the radiator as well.
