I had non-warranty work on my VDP and after that experience, I will never buy from that unnamed Jaguar-Volvo dealership in Wellesley, MA on Rt. 9. They knew they scammed me to the point of giving me a free oil change voucher which I am not ever going to use. The lost me as a customer.

It takes two of us micks to change a light bulb. One holds the bulb in the socket and the other keeps drinking until the room spins.

Wow...that's insane. I've replaced both of my hid bulbs and city bulbs on the XKR and it only takes less than 5 minutes to remove the headlight unit once you have done it once. If I remember correctly there are 3-4 bolts (one behind the wheel well) you remove and disconnect the wiper fluid hose and unplug the headlight plug and just wiggle it out. Then remove the headlight cap from the back of the unit. If you go with authentic Philips hid bulbs (I believe it's D1S?) it should cost around $150-$180 each. Definitely do it yourself.
