In truth, you need to tell us how you drive, how often you drive, how long you drive, and your geographical location.... Otherwise recommendations are generic and meaningless not to mention possibly dangerous.
The majority of owners here are not performance oriented, so low dust ceramic pads are the common preference. If your more aggressive, then you need to look at something better.

I don't have much confidence in your Jaguar dealer. It would be helpful if you let us know where you are located and the name of the dealer who gave you the erroneous advice.

I'm fairly certain that Alcon brakes were not available for your 2007 and were available only on XKRs for the 2008 and 2009 model years (USA). Unless you bought your 2007 new, there's always the possibility that a previous owner modded the car and installed Alcon brakes.

I'd call another Jaguar dealer's parts department, give them your VIN, and ask them for the brake part numbers. Or you can go online to Jaguar Merriam' s website and search there.

What you have are standard brakes. The Alcon ones would have teardrop holes in the rotors. My brakes (2009 XKR) look the same as in your photos. I got a new set recently from www.rimmerbros.co.uk as per following thread with their sales:

-------
Good morning
Front pads c2z14096 @ £139.48 + vat

Rear pads c2c27271 @ £58.11 + vat

Carriage @ £44.00 + vat
These are genuine parts
Both items in stock
Regards
Kev

-------

The C2Z14096 supercede (still Jaguar original) the original C2C27291 rear ones.
