Default 2007 A/C re gas - whining/buzzing noise

Where are the a/c re gas connections on a 2007 xkr located, pics if possible, i have a bit of a noise like a fan going on then slowing down to stop after a minute when the car is first started. Seems to come from the front drivers side and down behind the front wheel arch at the bottom toward the front of the wheel. What could it be. It starts as a whizzing sound ,then seems to slow down like switching off/ running down. Today it made a bit of a squeal noise along with the other sound.
Maybe the a/c is low on gas.

Could it be the fan belt slipping or maybe a tensioner going bad?

The location of your noise, sounds like the location of the air pump in this thread:

No fan slip, it has recently fitted new belts and tensioners, this noise is going on for around 6 months now, have got used to it as it just dose it a shot while then stops, just seeing any suggestions.

Sound could be coming from the SAI Pump , that is no:8 in the picture, why this is i don't know, it doesn't seem to make a difference to the running of the car.
