2007 XK
Parked for a day then went to start. Press start button but get nothing. Also get no break peddle feel. Battery has full charge. Could this be a blown fuse problem?
Use a voltmeter to check available voltage across the battery terminals with the ignition OFF. Should be a minimum of 12.6 volts available for all modules to function correctly.
If there's less than 12.6 volts, charge the battery for five hours at 2 to 5 amps and retest. If the voltmeter still shows less than 12.6 volts, the battery is failing or weak and should be replaced.

Press the START button before you step on the brake pedal.
Inadvertently stepping on the brake pedal multiple times before pressing the start button will make it hard to start. The brake pedal will be pumped up high and you will have to step on it with both feet and all your strength to get it to start, if you're lucky.
If you're really interested in how I know, search for my old posts. Otherwise, just trust me. Your car will start with just a tap on the brake pedal if you press the START button first.
If the "high pedal no-start" happens to you, just go and have a couple of cold ones. By the time you get back to your car, the pressure in your brake lines probably will have dropped enough to lower the pedal and hopefully let it start right up.
Just another reason to love our Jags!

My ‘07 ‘vert just had similar symptoms. New battery installed, attempted start, car goes berserk-lights flashing, multiple warnings, no crank. Charged battery overnight and voila, she cranks right up. Believe the wise folks here who say even a “new” battery needs to be charged. The guy at o’reilly’s said “we don’t sell many of these”, and the battery was covered in dust.
