Default 2007 XK blower motor module issue, help

I have a 07 xk convertible that earlier this year had the famous clogged ac drain issue. I have had mixed success with the "tip" of closing vents to clear drain hose...Unfortunately, prior to finding this tip, I think that the module for the blower motor may have suffered some damage due to water levels rising as now the blower motor won't work on any setting even though all fuses are good and the touch screen controls "show" it to be accepting my command to blow air, and it indicates faster or slower speeds on display, even though there is no air flow at all because the blower isn't coming on at all. I would like to see if any members have the part number for the module on hand so I can order part before I tackle repair job. Is it a JAGUAR only sourced part? Does anyone have a source to supply one that they have used? My VIN ends in B02774 if there are differences based on that. Any body have any pics from a repair of their own I can utilize? any and all help is much appreciated. THANKS! Carguy9497.

Welcome to the forum! Sorry to hear your cat is misbehaving, but we have good people here that should be able to help you out

This problem has a familiar ring, as another member encountered it as well... sorry i cant remember who, but they did fix it themselves by repairing or replacing the module near the blower....
I'll stand aside and let those that know step in!

Vince

Check the other thread where I fixed mine myself. You can shop around for the module and it was a Jaguar only part. Simple swap out and easy to get to. Just make sure to get the drain unplugged or you'll be doing it again. If you can't figure it out, email me and I'll walk you through it.

Marc, there are several threads on how to do this. Unfortunately you can't get to it from the blower. The factory procedure is to disassemble the entire box which I believe involves purging the a/c lines and refill. Another method is to get to it from above the transmission where it drains. A lot of work for a $7 part.

From what I've researched.. The module can be opened up. You'll see a broken / blown fuse link. Solder in this one .. You'll be good to go. As mentioned there is a bunch of tips on how to get in to that duck bill. It can be sawed..I am able to touch it with my fingers and it stays draining as long as I drive the car once a week. If it sits it tends to get stuck again.

Here's the resistor which will save you a bunch over the jag module.

Standard Motor Products RU857. Got mine from Rock Auto. Should note this is for the blower motor controller, not just the resistor.
