hi, I am trying to add a amp to my 07 xk with standard alpine stereo I found a sub woofer and I want to add a new amp . does any one know the speaker color codes. I found the speaker connector under the passenger right lower kick panel . when I unplug this all the speakers go dead so I know this is the main junction plug for the speakers I just don't know color codes for right,left.front ,rear ect.

 

I don't know if the colours are reversed for LH/RH drive but:

Front Driver = White/Blue and Yellow
Front Pass = White/Green and Red/White
LH Rear = White/Blue and Yellow/Blue
RH Rear = White/Green and Yellow/Red

 

Thank you that's a great help. You wouldn't happen to know pos.+ and neg. - on these colors by any chance ? for example is White/Blue +and Yellow - to Front Driver Door ?

 

The first colour combination listed for each is positive. The second one is the negative.

e.g.
Front Driver = White/Blue (+ve) and Yellow (-ve)

I found a factory Sub Woofer mounted in the factory enclosure on Ebay but it was missing the alpine amp, so I am adding a single channel amp for the sub woofer. the sub woofer enclosure mounts under the passenger foot well carpet. there is a kick plate that you remove and under that there is a honeycomb backer made out of foam. When you remove the foam backer the factory sub enclosure bolts right in. It is a little strange that the carpet goes right on top of the speaker, not sure if the carpet needs to be cut out around the woofer grill or not. Subs always seem to be buried behind something or other. If I cant hear it after I hook up the amp I guess I will know.
