If the radio has good reception then it could be that the previous owner has converted it to the later aerial in the boot spoiler or equivalent.
If so they have left the original in situ and removed the fuse.
There will be somewhere in the boot where you can unplug the coax from the original and see if it affects reception.
My radio has lousy reception until the aerial has completely raised

Have someone else turn the radio on and off, while you listen near the antenna motor. If you can hear it, is there any ‘grinding’ noise? If you can hear it run (probably do this with the engine off so you can hear better), with or without grinding, it’s likely the teeth or cogs on the cogged leader attached to the mast have worn off. The mast and leader can be replaced (as long as the drive motor still works). I bought a spare, years ago, just in case mine were to wear out.
Search the forum for replacement recommendations (it might even be that the mast for the X100 will work).

 

the radio has poor reception, so no second antenna upgrade and I'm not hear the motor moving at all

 

how do you get to the antenna motor the convertible top pump is in the way defiantly don't want remove the pump thanks

the is the last problem and my restoration will be complete did body work paint rebuilt suspension and all new interior reupholster are completed engine was fine
still looking to change the supercharger pully for a few mor pounds of boos any one you know who changed the pully before ?
