I have disabled my power antenna (by removing the fuse). However, AM/FM radio reception is worse without the power antenna mast up. Has anyone installed the internal antenna from a 2008+ model on their 2007?

Hard to believe that thread is almost as old as my XKR!

 

Actually, I must've seen it in the past because apparently I made a comment on it 3 years ago. I've only had my XKR for about a year!

 

I have a new (never installed) in original package, Jaguar clam type antenna ,2008 up. In primer , I purchased it for one of my h/rods but never used. I paid 75 pound + shipping ,will let it go for $50 us + shipping. Bernie

 

I'm not sure what a 'clam type' is...but if it allows me to deactivate my power attenna, Id be very interested. But will you ship to me here in Japan?

^ I may be mistaken, but that antenna is for the Sat radio, not AM/FM? I think the AM/FM is located inside the spoiler....

 

You Know .When I think about it I think your right. My mistake sorry. I remember now when I installed my XKRS Spoiler there were two sets of wires. I will drop the rear trunk panel and check . BL
