Default 2008 XK comfort / fit

I have been bitten by the Jaguar bug. I have found a 2008 XK for sale. Sadly it is about 1500 miles from where I live. There are no local dealerships with a unit I can see and try on for size. I am 6' 2" with a 30.5" inseam. I weigh 200 lbs. Can anybody within my size rage tell me if I am too tall or large to be comfortable in the car I am interested in?

You will fit EASILY. I'm 6-2 - 180 and don't have any sort of fitment issues whatsoever. Now, my old XK8 was sort of miserable as I had to look out the top third of the windscreen.
That 2008 will be wonderfully comfortable.

Ditto here.... at 6' 176 lbs with a 32" inseam I have oodles of room to spare.

I'm on the opposite side of the fence here as I'm 6'4" with a 36" inseam. My 07 XK is about 2" short for rearward seat travel to really be comfortable. I have not had her that long and have not yet found an ideal seat position. While I might like to drive her a long distance, I'm not sure I could comfortably drive her a long distance. I'm thinking of trying about a 60 mile trip this weekend, so we'll see how that goes. I like the rest of the car, so I'm really hoping to come up with a comfortable seat position.

With your 30.5" inseam, you should do great as everybody has indicated.

I have a 2007 XK convertible, and am very comfortable at 6' and 190 pounds.

I'm 6'4", 260, and I have no problems with fit. Very comfortable even on a long ride. I did spend some time finding the right adjustment when I first got it.

You're right. Maybe its time. Then I can really pull off the James Bond look in the XKR.

However, sweatpants or khakis are always most comfortable!

Neither had I heard of "inseam" and I totally misunderstood the term. However after Googling it, all feelings of potential inadequacy in the trouser department have completely disappeared.

I (the wife) always buys me 33/34 trousers and jeans. I thought for the past 50 years that it's the proper way to buy lower body covering devices. Waist/Inseam.

Same here, but I guess if you were to come from a part of the Empire that wears kilts, measurements are probably done differently.

Graham, perhaps inseam the same as 'inside leg measurement' this side of the pond?

And am confused, doesn't everyone wear a tux when driving their X150?

Probably, but I thought inside leg could alarm our US members.

As for dress code, I would wear Black Tie unless the invitation called for White Tie but never appear in either before 7:00 pm. My Valet is now steam pressing my Morning Coat and buffing my black Oxfords before I venture out for a perambulation.

A couple washers under the front seat base will tilt the base more so it supports your legs and is more comfortable. You can get about 3/8" out of the bolts.

It really depends on your dimension from the hips up. My kid and I are the same height but he's more hips up and I'm more legs down at the bend. I fit great but he hates most cars.
