2008 XK8 Passenger Brake Light - RESOLVED
Greetings! What is a fix for the break light failure on the 2008 xk8? All of a sudden I have no break lights on the passenger side. I know this car requires the changing of the entire housing. What am I missing? Thanks in advance...

The 2008MY Owner's Handbook is misleading. It suggests ALL rear lamps are LED which is not true.

The high mounted Stop Lamp is LED but the Stop,Tail and Indicator bulbs in the rear lamp units are standard and replaceable. Here's the Jaguar P/N's but the equivalent bulbs will be available from any autoparts store.

The only slight complication is the unit has to be removed for bulb replacement.

Yes, you need to pull the housing which is held in place with both nuts and one way clips (which are a mother to pop loose). Go ahead and buy replacements for all of the lamps in the housing because you won't want to do this twice.
