Gents. Was cleaning under the engine cover for the first time since owning the car and noticed this sensor that seems to be an after thought or make shift arrangement. I moved it and the air tube was so brittle it snapped in half. Salvaged what little tubing was left with a small hose and re-positioned it.
No error codes or difference in driving. Appears to connect back to the back of the RH Supercharger bank. Searched Jag parts for hours and can't see one that resembles it.
No wires inside. Just a very small tube, Excessive heat must have hardened the tube.

That's the vacuum hose from the S/C outlet pipe to the fuel pressure sensor.

The other capped end is for the Secondary Air Injection. Not included in North American markets.

PS: Do you know if the S/C end just pops off the back of RH intake? Found one online for $35 bucks.

 

Yep, pops on a little nippl. You can go to NAPA and buy some vacuum tubing for a quick fix. All of the post '85 Fords had these little lines and they break all the time.
