Why are you doing this to such a beautiful car?

I would sell the 2009 and just move up to a 2012.

You will destroy any resale value, trying to make the 2009 something it is not.

Cost will be expensive to make the mods, and I really think your so much better off just selling the 2009 and finding a nice 2012 that you may like.

Makes no sense to me to even consider this.

Your first mod might be to look into why one rear window is up and other is down. The rear windows on the 2009 don't work that way. They either move up together or down together.

I have a '10, but there's not much "internal" to the bumper except for the front curb sensors. Just a body panel and pretty simple to take off and put back on. I've never removed the fenders but they don't seem too scary. What about the hood?

Here's a link to jagdocs. This manual has come in handy for me. Well worth the investment: 2010 MY On XK Workshop Manual [Jaguar XK XKR XKR-S X150]

People buy cars for all sorts of different reasons. If your car is your hobby, like mine is, protecting a resale value at the expense of having fun with it makes no sense. I could buy another XK with the money I've spent taking things apart and putting them back together again in non-working condition (including one car). It's just fun. I mean, not the breaking things part, but the learning part.

Well, now that's a good point. What's with that, Slow?
