2010 XK A/C High And Low Pressure Valve Locations
I'm getting my a/c serviced tomorrow and was curious of the locations of the high and low pressure ports. I'm able to see one of them on the driver's side firewall area and what I believe is the other between the power steering reservoir and the oil filler cap up front. Both have a black cap and was quite surprised that Jaguar placed them so conveniently for service. After having my air cleaners replaced behind the wheel wells, if these are the locations, accesibility is great. My Indy told me that the best way to service the a/c on our cars is to evacuate the system (getting out water, etc). That way we can be more certain that when recharging it and checking the specs, it won't be overcharged. .
My Indy was surprised how much Freon it took and was surprised that I was actually getting a/c. This was my first a/c service in 11 years and I'm hoping any leak is a slow one. Nothing was apparent as far as leaks and the a/c is icy cold now. Crossing my fingers it lasts awhile.
