For what it's worth, from me... sorry man. There's no easy answer for you here. That sucks.
Me? I'd shine it up - for real - and post it as-is. Pull no punches about the engine. There's still a lot of good in the car, and there's someone who will take this on as a project. But, yeah... at about $6K.
Take the hit and move on.

 

Put it on a trailer and take it to Miami.
Then go have a long lunch.
You wont have a problem when you return.

Ironically there are several Jaguar 5.0 engines on ebay with 95K miles or more and they are getting $5k.
Here is one with 140k miles, they are asking $4500 for just the engine.
