Just got a used (obviously) 2010 XKR, happy as can be. But I’m still playing around with some of the settings and familiarizing myself with the vehicle. But there’s one thing that’s not a huge issue but is still slightly bothering my OCD a$$. The little black button on the exterior door handles to lock the vehicle when you hold it down is only working on the passenger door. The fob works with the lock unlock buttons, as does the keyless entry on the driver side to unlock if I walk uo to the driver’s side door when locked and put my hand in the handle to open it. But the little black button on the handle isn’t doing anything to lock the door or give any kind if reaction. Passenger door button works just fine to lock.

i know I can just use the fob, but it’s just kind if irritating especially because if I were to use the manual handle lock button, it would typically be on the driver’s side when I got out. I’m hoping it’s just one of those settings like 2-step locking or some crap, but deep down I know it’s something that needs to be fixed. Didn’t even see anything in the manual about that locking button.

So any suggestions for a setting to play with, or at least any recommendations to repair if this happened yo someone, like a fuse replacement or something?

 

Mine did the same thing, always worked then didn't and ever after since. Curious if you find a solution.

 

damn, seems like we do need to actually repair it. I was about to refer you to the other thread someone had where they responded to me about this today. But I saw you already replied something there.
