Default 2012/2013 Navigation Disc

Good morning all!!

I have a 2007 Jaguar XKR and I'm wondering if anyone has a 2012/2013 Nav disc they are willing to share with me, so I can get my nav and maps updated?

Anyone? Please?

Thanks in advance!

According to Jaguar, the most recent DVD is 2011-2012 and the site claims it was "Just Released".

Yes, and I'm wondering if anyone has that 2011-2012 disc and is willing to share it with me? Since they rape you for $199 for it (simply ridiculous!)

I would like to share in the cost to if you have Hawaii on your cd. Seems a shame to pay $200 for such a small portion ill be using that's not better than the hand heads, but I would like it to be functional.

How can you "share" the DVD? Doesn't it remain in the unit? Also i am wondering if they are all in metric ( kilometers instead of miles, etc.) or are there :American" versions?

In order to "share" a DVD, you would have to have the capability of copying a DVD. The DVD stays loaded in the navigation system. The DVDs may have an anti-copying feature. I say "may" because no one has reported that they successfully copied the DVD.

There are TWO DVDs for the Jaguar system, one for east half of USA and one for west half USA. Actually, there are still more DVDs for different countries.

I spent a fair amount of time locating my '07 looking at several examples. None of them had both DVDs, so I wound up purchasing the new set for $200. Basically, I figure having both original Jaguar DVDs will be helpful on resale. I used the absence of the full set as a negotiating tool when I purchased my '07.

What you Guys are asking for is an illegal disc copy on an open forum; ugh!
It would be better to buy a Garmin or Tom Tom with free updates and isometric map views..........AND you can use it in all your vehicles!
That's what I plan to do and not use the silly 2D Jaguar/Japanese one in my 2007..........

It appears the 2012/2013 disks are not yet available for the 2009 XK.

Has the format of the latest disks('11-12') changed any? or is it still flat 2 D? if so, what's the point of updating a few streets and POI's?

Thanks, Adrian

Mine is a 2009, so the info is 3 - 4 years old. I'm going to upgrade when it becomes available.

Smile Map updates

I just returned from the Jaguar dealership for my first scheduled oil change on a 2010 XF ($92.94). The map DVD is outdated so I ask what the price was to get a new DVD, the reply was $250! That is for 2011-2012 DVD. I recently owned a 2001 Lexus and know that if you desire luxury brands you may as well bend over when it comes time for accessories. However, I too am on here looking for a cheaper alternative. I have a $30 coupon which I could have used but still $220 seems a little steep. The website sales them for $200 but I think I'll wait and see if they release a 2013 version. For the price, it should show all future roads too! :-) I just bought a 2013 Garmin update for my Kenwood head unit in my truck and paid $80. Dang Brits over taxing us again! LOL
