Mine are on all the time. There is a setting in one of the computer modules that can be modified by a dealer. Perhaps an indie with all of the appropriate computer equipment can modify the settings. If not you will have to go to a dealer to have them check out the drl's

For 2012MY onwards, the DLR are controlled and protected through the CJB (Central Junction Box).

Unlike earlier models, Jaguar don't publish full details of relays in the Owner's Handbook and even the Workshop Manual doesn't have a single, full list.

The Electrical Guide has also gone from being a clearly indexed document to the equivalent of doing a 5000 piece jigsaw without the benefit of the picture on the box.

Your USA specification DLR are different to both Canadian specification and my European specification. The following description should help identify how your DLR should operate.

The DRL operate automatically when a gear is selected after starting the engine. They then remain on until the ignition is switched off, or side lamps or headlamps are selected on. On USA vehicles, the DRL also go off if the transmission is selected to P or N and the parking brake is applied. While a turn signal indicator is operational, the daytime running lamp on that side of the vehicle either reduces in intensity, to the side lamp level (all except USA), or goes off (USA).

Probably had some E-bay parts fitted to it that have not been coded properly. Any sign of accident damage

I had mine programmed to not come on. Not a fan of DRLs. They chew through bulbs and make harnesses brittle here in Socal. So there’s a chance the PO didn’t feel like having them on too.

The 2012 XKs have LED DRLs.

I know California is pretty wacky (I lived there for 30 years), but running electricity through a wire in SoCal will not make the wire brittle.

This is configurable in software along with mirror auto fold on my 2011. Dealer should be able to turn it on.

Good morning as of today brought the car into Dealer in Ft Lauderdale they told me car needs DRLs to be turned on using SDD so no problems I had them check the car out for other small problems like I smelled anti freeze but wasn't loosing any turned out the water pump had a leak other issue was in alarm so the are replacing the sounder and i noticed a clunk when putting it into park turns out there's a bulletin on that but the good news is all covered under CPO warranty other than diagnostic charge and they are using that to turn on the DRLs they gave me a loaner asked for an F Type but no Jag just a Hyundai so all is good
Thanks for all the replies
